FITNESS PROGRAM

SWIM FIT:

Swimmers, 12 – 15 years: This group is ideal for someone who cannot maintain the commitment of the competitive program and have other extra curricular interests. Training and stroke development will be similar to the Competitive programs but the intensity will be reduced to fit the level of swimmers in the group. Swim Fit members can attend meets that they qualify for but they do not need to attend.

Attendance is not compulsory but there is no discount of fees for reduced attendance. This group tends to fill quickly, so swimmers not attending half of the practices could be asked to leave in favour of someone that will commit to more time. The goal of this group is to develop a life long enjoyment of swimming, to teach them how to train themselves and the introduction to Masters Swimming.

Monday 5:00 – 6:00 pm DP
Tuesday 4:00 – 5:00 pm DP
Saturday 4:15 – 5:15 pm DP

STROKE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

GOLD

For swimmers 8 - 12 years old who can swim a minimum of 4 lengths of the pool and can complete a 30 min. session – a tryout is required. The program introduces/further develops each skill required for competitive swimming. Stroke Development Awards & Challenge Awards are given on successful completion of required skills. There will be approximately 4 fun meets during the season. These meets will focus on technique & fun. Due to testing for part of the Challenge awards, swimmers are expected to attend most of these meets. We encourage advanced level Gold swimmers to attend travel meets outside the club, with the hope that they will proceed to our competitive program. Gold swimmers will have to pay Swim Ontario fee difference once they attend one outside meet.

Groups 1, 2, & 3 are same programs, only different schedules.

Cancelled Practices: There is no training during Christmas Holidays; March Break or Friday to Monday of Holiday weekends. There are also a number of pre-planned cancellations due to other activities in the facility. There will be no practices scheduled when swimmers are expected to be at a swim meet. This has been taken into consideration when fees are established.

Special Practices are scheduled on swim meet weekends for those swimmers not invited to the swim meet (usually the Stroke Development Swimmers). These special practices alternate between Stouffville and Aurora, due to coaching staff being at the swim meet.

Schedules Our best effort is made to provide you with the most accurate information at the time of printing, however, schedules are subject to change. We reserve the right to cancel, amend, change, postpone or combine classes/practices/pricing that are listed in this brochure.
